What is EB-5?
The EB-5 Immigrant-Investor Program is an expedited pathway to achieve permanent residency in the United States. Qualifying investments must remain at risk for the prerequisite sustainment period and successfully create or preserve 10 jobs for American workers. A successful EB-5 investment allows for the investor and immediate family members (spouse and children under the age of 21) to become eligible to secure a permanent green card.
What are the benefits to participants?
Unlike some U.S. immigration categories, once the EB-5 Visa is received, the applicant becomes a lawful permanent resident of the United States. Permanent residents are free to pursue educational opportunities, live, work and travel anywhere within the United States. There is no future requalification needed and ultimately provides a path to U.S. citizenship.
